Frequently Asked Questions

How Much Does It Cost?

Inferno Hockey operates as a cost-share development program. All expenses—including ice time, tournaments, and jerseys—are divided evenly among participating families, with no additional markup for coaches or organizers.

Example:

  • If 8 weeks of ice time costs $2,000 and 20 players register, the ice cost is $100 per player.

  • Tournament fees are split evenly among all skaters.

  • Goalie tournament fees are divided among participating goalies.

  • Jersey pricing is typically reduced when more players place orders.

2026 Example Costs:

  • Ice Time: $100 per player

  • Tournament Fee: $100 per player

  • Jersey: $65

Actual costs may vary slightly each season based on participation numbers and tournament selection.

When and Where Will Practices Take Place?

Practices will be held at Creve Coeur Ice Arena.

Practice days and times will be finalized before the start of the spring season and will remain consistent throughout the program whenever possible, allowing families to plan ahead.

Who Can Sign Up?

Inferno Hockey is open to players of all skill levels who are committed to improving their game.

For Spring 2027, the program is expected to offer three development groups:

  • Players Moving into Squirts

  • Peewee Players

  • Players Moving into Bantams

Tournament team placement will be based primarily on players' 2026–2027 fall season evaluations. Coaches may also consider significant improvement demonstrated during spring practices when evaluating players who wish to compete at a higher level. Our goal is to provide every player with an appropriate challenge while creating opportunities for growth and advancement.

How do I get a Practice / Game Jersey?

Practice Jersey and Game Jersey are one in the same. Having Inferno Jerseys for practice is optional, there will be an order form that has a hard deadline due to the time it takes to complete the order. Members on tournament teams must purchase a jersey.

Our Story

Inferno Hockey started with a simple idea from a young hockey player.

After a traditional winter season ended, Mathew Dickens wanted one thing: more opportunities to play hockey with his friends. Like many young players, he wasn't ready for the season to be over. He wanted extra ice time, skill development, and the chance to continue competing alongside teammates and friends from different organizations.

What began as conversations between a few families quickly grew into something bigger. More players wanted to join. More parents saw the value in affordable development opportunities. Before long, what started as a small group of friends looking for extra ice time became Inferno Hockey.

We are a cost-share development program built around providing quality hockey experiences without the high costs often associated with spring and summer hockey. Our focus is on skill development, teamwork, competition, and creating opportunities for players to grow both on and off the ice.

While Inferno Hockey has grown beyond one group of friends, we never forget how it started: a kid who simply wanted to keep playing hockey with the people he enjoyed being around.

That spirit continues to drive everything we do.
